The families.ie website is a project developed jointly by the Family Support Agency and the Health Service Executive (North Western Area), Regional Children’s Services.

The website was developed in response to a frequently heard comment: ‘we don’t know what’s happening out there, even in our own area’.

“families.ie” aims to inform everyone (parents, children, and teenagers, as well as those who work to support families) what is ‘out there’ in terms of services, information and support available.


The Health Service Exexutive and the Family Support Agency are keen to see the website grow and develop further, and hope that it will soon be expanded from the north-west region to become a national resource. Please go to ‘contact us’ if you want to contribute to or comment on this site.
